Each year Cinemagic delivers a ‘Cross Border Short Film Academy’, which involves a series of film masterclasses and pre-production workshops, culminating in the production of a short film made by teenagers aged 15-18, under the guidance of industry professionals.
Participants, from Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland, aged 15-18, are encouraged to apply and have the chance to develop their talents in a range of production areas and earn a credit on the production. Cinemagic seeks out committed, talented and creative young people to take part in this programme of a lifetime. The successful applicants participate in a programme of practical training – this opportunity provides the young filmmakers with an invaluable insight to all aspects of filmmaking and the essential skills required on set.
