The first of the Cinemagic ‘Little Bard’ Shakespeare on Film events took place at the weekend and the young participants had a surprise photo opportunity with The President of Ireland, Michael D.Higgins.
15 budding young filmmakers on the ‘Little Bard’ project, who were learning about Shakespeare and Film, were treated to a surprise visit from The President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, during his visit to The Ulster Museum on Saturday 4th June. The young people were working on story development and scriptwriting as part of a ‘Script to Screen’ 2-day workshop to create a short film inspired by the themes of Shakespeare. The young people had two days to create an original piece of work under the guidance of Cinemagic filmmakers and local author, Jan Carson.
