Cinemagic Dublin Online Boot Camp 2020

The Cinemagic Dublin Boot Camp will take place online over 4 consecutive evenings from 21st – 24th September 2020. The programme is aimed at new entrants and aspiring filmmakers aged 15 – 25 and will include masterclasses, seminars and Q&As with film professionals who will provide insight into the industry through a range of disciplines. Please note that participants aged 15-25 from the island of Ireland and the UK are welcome to attend. We would be delighted if participants could attend all events. Monday 21st September:

7pm – 8.30pm: Producing Masterclass with BAFTA-winning film producer Brian Falconer (Ordinary Love, The Dig and Boogaloo and Graham).

Tuesday 22nd September:

7pm – 8.30pm: Editing Masterclass with Brian Philip Davis (Here Before, Boys from County Hell, The Devil’s Doorway and Bad Day for the Cut).

Wednesday 23rd September

7pm – 8.30pm: Directing Masterclass with BAFTA-Winning director Michael Lennox (Derry Girls, Endeavour and Boogaloo and Graham).

Thursday 24th September

5pm – 6.30pm: Writing and Directing Masterclass with BAFTA and IFTA-winning screenwriter and director Aisling Walsh (Elizabeth is Missing, Maudie,Room at the Top and Song for a Raggy Boy)

7pm – 8.30pm: Casting Masterclass with Emmy-nominated casting director Louise Kiely (Normal People, The Lobster, Sing Street, Herself and Dublin Murders).

Friday 25th September:

7pm – 8.30pm: Writing and Directing Q+A with IFTA-winning screenwriter and writer Cathy Brady (WildfireCan’t Cope Won’t CopeMorning and Small Change)

This is a great opportunity for new entrants to learn more about the film and television industry, gain insight from industry professionals, network with other new entrants and develop knowledge and key skills.

All events will take place online and will be facilitated by Cinemagic staff. A Zoom link will be sent out via email on the day of each session.
