Calling all writers aged 16-25 interested in learning about screenwriting for digital platforms.
The BBC Writersroom are hosting a 2-day workshop focused on writing short scripts. Across the two days, you will not only learn the principles of storytelling and how to apply them to a short film script but you will also get the chance to write and get feedback on a script of your own.
This programme is aimed at creatives who are already writing scripts or who have the burning desire to write for short film. Attendance for both days is essential, and there will be required work assigned outside of the workshop times.
This is a practical writing workshop where participants will be given individual feedback on their work, so spaces are limited. Apply by email to claire@cinemagic.org.uk by Fri 28 February 2020 telling us in no more than 1 page the reason you would like to attend the workshop and a little bit about yourself and your writing work. Please include name, age, email address. There is a £5 fee upon registration.
Day 1: Saturday 7 March, 10am-5pm
Day 2: Saturday 14 March, 10am-1pm
