Cinemagic Online Update

Like many of our fellow film festivals and arts organisations the next few months will see us switching focus to produce a lot more online content. We are fully committed to continue to provide our audience with a programme of high quality films, practical creative opportunities and film education resources.

Over the last few days we have been working behind the scenes to produce an initial programme of viewing opportunities for young people. We will be moving a number of our ‘On the Pulse’ programmes on-line to view from our Vimeo channel. These programmes will be available free of charge. Viewers will have to contact Cinemagic for a link and password to view the films. More details to follow.

We plan to continue with our ‘On the Pulse’ CineFocus jury programme for 15-18 year olds. We will be uploading the jury films online with PDF downloads to film scoring sheets, reviewing tips and the various film synopsis. For further details email juries@cinemagic.org.uk.

We have programmed a number of special short film packages for teachers and educators. Ideal for in-school and home learning. We have packages for x 3 different age groups 8-11, 12-14 and 15-18. These films will be available on-line, teachers/educators will be provided with a private link as well as film reviewing resources. For more information email schools@cinemagic.org.uk.

We would like to thank all the filmmakers from around the world who have allowed us access to their films and enabled us to provide these online viewing opportunities.

Over the next few months we will be engaging with you on all our social channels with competitions, games and practical filmmaking tips. Keep an eye out for our YouTube channel ‘Cinemagic TV’ where we will have a-lot of new content focusing on online tutorials and workshops and this will be our platform to premiere our in-house ‘Cinemagic Productions’ films.

We fully admire the resilience and creativity of the arts sector at this testing time and we are proud to be part of this fantastic community.
