THE UGLY ANIMAL ROADSHOW WITH SIMON WATT
Simon Watt runs the Ugly Animal Preservation Society that celebrates the least loved species on earth. But why do animals look like they do? Every weird face has a place. The ugliest of anatomy is still an adaptation, helping that animal survive. Colour can be used to hide from view or to stand out and be seen. Join him to discover why some weird animals look as strange as they do!
PERFORMING WITH PUPPETS WITH JO BRITLAND
Acting, story creation, puppet manipulation and play! This workshop will introduce children to performance skills through improvisation and storytelling. Led by experienced puppet storyteller/ performer and entertainer Jo Britland. Jo is a partner and performer of Hoodwink Productions Dance and Theatre Company for children. Their shows include Lilly’s Magical Christmas and Lilly’s Magical Garden.
PIXILATION GARDEN MAGIC WITH DAVID BUNTING
Join DENNIS& GNASHER and SHAUN THE SHEEP story artist and animator, David Bunting in this magical How-To workshop. With the help of best friends Lottie and Mia, David demonstrates how to combine live-action and animation to make a magical ‘pixilation’ outdoor movie, where objects come alive and have a mind of their own! From generating ideas, to animation tricks, editing, and sound effects, David covers every step of filmmaking, and shows how animation can be made anywhere!
PROP MAKING WITH ANDREW CLANCY
This online tutorial demonstrates how to make a small model/prop from materials that are readily available in most homes. For the demonstration Andrew will be making a small animal sculpture, but the principle involved can be expanded out for any kind of prop or model making, especially if the shapes are organic. You will only need x 2 materials for this tutorial – tinfoil and masking tape.
